A Parent's Guide to Homeschooling
Thinking about homeschooling your children? You're not alone — and you don't have to figure it out by yourself. Here's what homeschooling looks like in California, and how Revival Homeschool walks with families from their very first questions.
What Is Homeschooling?
Homeschooling is a parent-directed approach to education that allows families to tailor their children’s learning to their unique needs, values, and goals. Parents oversee their children’s education through a combination of learning at home, co-ops, academic clubs, community college courses, and more.
Revival Homeschool: A Ministry to Support Your Homeschool Journey
Revival Homeschool is a Private School Satellite Program (PSP) and a ministry of Revival Christian Fellowship. Our heart is to support, equip, and encourage Christian homeschooling families by providing structure, accountability, and community.
As a PSP, we file an affidavit with the state of California and offer resources such as:
- Record-keeping support to help meet state homeschooling requirements
- Parent meetings and workshops to encourage and equip families
- Student events and activities to foster fellowship and growth
- A Christ-centered homeschool community where families can connect
Our mission is to help parents confidently homeschool while keeping Christ at the center of their children’s education.
Is Homeschooling Legal?
Yes! Homeschooling is legal in all 50 states, with each state setting its own regulations. In California, parents have four legal options for homeschooling. Revival Homeschool provides a structured, Christ-centered approach through our PSP, giving families the freedom to teach their children according to biblical principles.
If you’re looking for a supportive Christian homeschool community, we’d love to connect with you!
